Of course, eating healthy, not smoking, getting the proper amount of sleep, and exercising all play a factor as well. But, getting naked with your S.O (and having sex) decreases the risk of dying at an early age.
In 1980 researchers in England surveyed 918 guys who were between the ages of 45 and 59. Ten years later, they checked in with these men who were now between the ages of 55 and 69. According to the researchers, 150 of them died. They ended up comparing the people who died to the surveys they had originally done with them. Turns out, most of them were only having sex once a month! Those who filled out the survey saying they were having sex twice a week were still kickin’ around.
Sex is exercise so I can see how this is true. Men can burn about 100 calories while having sex. Women burn about 70.
I think having frequent sex makes a healthy relationship, which makes you happier, and gets you closer to your significant other. If you are happy, you will feel good about yourself, and treat yourself right.
Sex can also calm your nerves. If you are stressed, well, have sex with your partner! If you can’t sleep… have sex! If you do the deed before you go to sleep, you’ll wake up feeling well-rested. This is because your body releases oxytocin when you’re having sex.
Honestly, making love with your partner can only be positive. It helps your body in many ways and makes you live longer! How can you say no? Just make sure it’s with someone you love, and you’re using protection (obviously).
